Author TP Rajeevan Passes Away at 63

T P Rajeevan, a renowned poet, writer, and essayist, died in a hospital in Kozhikode late on Wednesday night. He was 63 and had renal issues. Author Thachom Poyil Rajeevan was a multilingual Malayalam and English writer.

In addition to six poetry collections and a travelogue, he wrote two novels, Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha and KTN Kottoor: Ezhuthum Jeevithavum. He received the 2014 Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for KTN Kottoor: Ezhuthum Jeevithavum.

P J Mathew released the English translation titled "The Man Who Learned to Fly but Could Not Land." Narayanan, also known as K T N Kottoor, was a writer and activist from Malabar during the period just before India's independence. The tale follows his life and times.
